Day 1 (4/15): Students will be able to discuss the role of forensic toxicology and observe and understand the levels of tolerance and impairment due to alcohol consumption


 Day 2 (4/17): Students will be able to describe the laboratory tests normally used to preform a routine drug identification analysis and compare the physical and chemical properties of various white powders and also attempt to identify an unknown sample from known samples

  



Day 3 (4/22):   Students will be able to name and describe screening and confirmation drug tests and and understand the levels of tolerance and impairment due to alcohol consumption

Day 4 (4/24; 4/25):  Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency of knowledge of controlled substances

​Day 5 (4/30):  Students will be able to determine what a questioned document is and identify examples of it and analyze handwriting and identify individual characteristics


Day 6 (4/30):  Students will be able to recognize different types of altered documents and the techniques used to analyze them

Day 7 and Day 8 (5/2 and 5/6):  Students will be able to apply knowledge of forgeries to real life cases and differentiate between known and manufactured materials, such as forgeries and counterfeits

Day 9, Day 10, Day 11 (5/8, 5/10, 5/13):  Students will be able to apply knowledge of forgeries to real life cases


Day 11 (5/15): Students will be able to recognize different types of altered documents and the techniques used to analyze them

Day 12 (5/17):  Students will be able to show proficiency of knowledge of Questioned Documents unit

SPRING FINAL REVIEW


Day 13 (5/20):  Students will be to apply their knowledge of Forensic Science to simulated real life experiences

Day 14 and Day 15 (5/24 and 5/26):  Students will be able to review spring semester information and prepare for final exam

Day 16 (5/30; 5/31): EXAM


**All students must be in attendance for all periods even if they are exempt**
