Tutoring is available Monday - Friday 12:20-12:45pm in Room 192. Science Wide tutoring are Tuesdays and Thursdays 3-5Pm in room 194.

## 1st Six Weeks

Day 1 (A - 8/22): Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of safe laboratory practices

Day 2 (A - 8/24): Students will be able to calculate metric conversions and evaluate numerical answers for reasonableness

Day 3 (A - 8/26): Students will be able to calculate unknown quantities and interpret data in tables and graphs

Day 4 (A - 8/30): Students will be able to solve for speed, distance, or time as an unknown quantity and create tables and and create graphs from data collected

Day 5 (A - 9/1): Students will be able to interpret the data collected and create tables and graphs and solve for velocity

Day 6 (A - 9/6): Students will be able to graphically solve for distance, displacement, speed, and velocity

Day 7 (A - 9/8): Students will be able to generate and interpret graphs describing acceleration

Day 8 (A - 9/12): Students will be able to describe and analyze motion in one dimension using equations with acceleration

• Complete and Turn in Acceleration LAB
• Review Acceleration Notes and Problems
• In Class...Read and take notes on 2-2 Acceleration (pg 46-56)
•    complete the following problems from the text book:
•      pg 47 #1-5
•      pg 51 #1-4

Day 9 (A - 9/14): Students will be able to describe and analyze motion in one dimension using equations with acceleration

Day 10 and Day 11 (A - 9/16, A - 9/20): Students will be able to apply kinematic equations to calculate distance, time, or velocity under conditions of constant acceleration

Day 12 and Day 13 (A - 9/24 and 09/26): Students will be able to apply kinematic equations to calculate distance, time, velocity, and acceleration in the y-coordinate, given constant acceleration

​Day 14 (B - 9/28):  Students will be able to apply kinematic equations to calculate distance, time, velocity, and acceleration given constant acceleration

• Chapter 2 Test

Day 15 and 16 (A - 9/30 and A - 10/4):  Students will be able to draw vectors to scale and understand vectors have magnitude and direction

• Kinematic Problems - Review kinematic equations
• Begin Chapter 3: Kinematics 2-D
• Physics Classrooms - Vectors: motion and forces in two dimensions
•           Lesson 1 part A-C - Take notes over Vectors and Direction, Vector Addition, and Resultants
• Chapter 3 worksheets (print only print 3-1) - complete 3-1 worksheet
